He was fond of syncing effects with the beat, the period of a delay line being a simple example.

I'd love to hear what it sounds like as well. In this case it's sync on the LFO but with a twist I'm not familiar with. 

Using a 3340 for the LFO amazed me at the time. That was a great idea but it wasn't exactly cheap (until very recently). It must have been close to the cost of the BBD chip itself. It's been so long I don't remember the price tags clearly.
