[sdiy] 20ms delay? analog allpass filter?

I would also say that long delays are hard to create in analog without a ton of signal degradation. Although for Karplus Strong that degradation might be part of what makes it sound good, so despite (or because of?) their flaws BBDs might be the way to go here.

On more precise delay uints I was always fascinated by the custom "Electrical Audio Precision Delay" units made by Eventide for Steve Albinis studio — mentioned in this thread (feel free to watch the video): <https://gearspace.com/board/high-end/1232773-eventide-electrical-audio-precision-dual-delay.html>

Nowadays DSP makes this more comfortable. On a Extron DMPS 128 audio DSP unit you can for example punch in the delay either by milliseconds, or by choosing a room temperature and a distance.
