[sdiy] disgusting sticky rubber wheels solution found

Interesting, thanks for sharing the advice.
Is there any knowledge of what's causing this stickiness? It doesn't happen
to every unit in a similar way.
Somehow it seems like sunlight could be one cause, gear sitting unused
possibly another, and also possibly lack of ventilation (gear stowed away
in storage/boxes/plastic bags). Perhaps also grease/dirt from earlier use.
But are there some facts? :-)
