Only now I understood what was the idea here… Thanks! There seems to be AA to C adapters available and AAs are available as 1.5V primary lithium. Maybe that’s the best solution until the CPU replacement becomes available again.

And yeah, I’d only use the batteries for memory backup, not for running the device.
