I concur with the use of regular silicon sealant, it’ll corrode the electronics (from experience, I’ve used it when I was young and dumb, had to fix the failure less than 12 months later).

There is silicon/silastic type sealants that are “ph neutral”, but even then they are probably the wrong thing for the task.
