Hi,

Just as with BJTs and FETs you can for sure use a pair of them to build 
a "long tailed pair" or "diffrential pair".

Should be doable. One benefit may be in large area could be used for low 
flicker noise and low resistance for low white noise. Utilizing support 
for high voltages may provide additional gain in dynamics, which would 
be ultimately input limited. There is many types which could have the 
same basic reasoning, so it would not be unique to IGBT.

Then as always, devil is in the details. Build and learn.
