Thanks Nathan, Andrei Kudryavtsev sent me a link to the OS and GAL images so I will test these out this weekend and report back.
I would be interested to know the versions of OS and Pseudo Godot firmware the K2000 you are working on.
having read through the manual this looks like a really interesting synth, unfortunately mine has been in pieces for about the last 6 months as I worked on trying to ugrade it.
Regards Tony

I have a K2000 at my shop that's in the queue, I'll try to see what Pseudo/Godot firmware it has and can copy them for you if they're newer.

After searching the internets I finally found the info on how to upgrade a Rev A, B or B2 Engine board that does not have JP7 installed.
I noticed a reference to the upgrade on monotanz.de (https://monotanz.de) - a seller of upgrade ROMs and the site owner sent me a PDF containing the info.
So the K2000 is running Calvin v 3.87 with just one small issue - it locks up after booting up unless it is in diagnostic mode.
It runs all the diagnostic tests repeatedly with no issue but when I boot into "regular" mode it freezes after a few minutes.
Further study of the upgrade notes indicates that an upgrade of the Pseudo and Godot GAL chips is highly recommended to fix "stability issues".
I currently have Pseudo v2.0 and Godot V3.0. I found images for the K2000R on DBWBP.com (https://DBWBP.com) for Pseudo v5.0 and Godot v5.0 however when I try either or both of these chips the K2000 will not boot at all.
Does anyone have K2000 images for Pseudo v4.0 and Godot v5.0, or am I missing something when I burn the images?
Regards Tony

Hi All
I recently acquired a Kurzweil K2000 from a local charity shop.
It is in excellent condition, back-light is still bright and functional, however it only has OS version 1.0 Calvin so I decided to try and upgrade it.
I found the site DBWBP.com and downloaded the v3.87C Engine images and the Setup images which I have burned to EPROMS, but when I put them in the K2000, it boots but cannot find the Setup ROMs. I checked the jumper settings and I have a Rev A Engine board that only has JP1 no JP7.
Much searching the internet located a Service document that stated that the PSEUDO and GODOT GAL chips also need an upgrade to PSEUDO v4 and GODOT v5, currently I have PSEUDO v2 and GODOT v3.
The DBWBP.com site has images from a K2000R for PSEUDO v5 and GODOT v5.
Can anyone advise if these will work or where I can find images for PSEUDO v4 and GODOT v5 that will work in a K2000 running OS v3.87?
Regards Tony
