[sdiy] Powering 4ms pod

Assuming you're able to get the plug to make a temporary contact, it 
could be the supply is underrated for the turn-on surge of the 4mS pod.
Seems like it might be 'motor boating'.
Power comes on, post-regulator caps draw current, external supply 
collapses, regulator turns off, supply recovers. Repeat.
Just a possibility.
