Dear list,
As you may have inferred from my previous post a couple of months ago, I'm
restoring an old Eko Stradivarius. I have the schematic for it, but no
service manual with calibration instructions. From the schematic, I could
establish that the Eko is nearly identical to early Solina String Ensembles
and was hoping to find someone here experienced in calibrating them.
My specific question is about the 2K2 trimmer labeled 422 (part of the
"rail voltage and crescendo circuit") in this schematic of the solina:

What does it do and how should it be calibrated?

ps. Besides the absence of the trigger input/output, the most interesting
difference between the Eko and the Solina is the ability to continuously
adjust the level of each voicing on the Eko (versus on/off switches on the
Solina). Depending on levels, interesting phase effects happen between the
string and brass registers (and also with crescendo's), that originate from
the phase response of the formant filters in the brass section (I think).
