For things that only need jellybean parts - that is, something that does
not depend on some specific property of a part - Multicomp is totally
fine. It's like the electronics counterpart of generics in
pharmaceutics. Buy two packs/rolls/whatever, and you might find they are
somewhat different from each other as they might come from different
manufacturers or product lines. They'll still be carbon film resistors
of the advertised value and tolerance, but that's about it.
Unless you need some specific resistor - and in that case you'd probably
know - I don't see a reason not to use these.
