I was recently looking at Kicad again, wondering if it might finally be
feasible to implement an equivalent of my front-panel generation
software, and was astonished to find that it simply doesn't have an
equivalent of Eagle's DRU or CAM files. None. At all.
(Fully expecting a Kicad user to chime in here with "but those only
take 5 seconds to configure", completely ignoring the cost of the
human error that WILL happen at every step where the available
choices aren't removed or reduced)
I am left wondering, not for the first or even third time, how anyone
gets actual work done with Kicad. Bizarre.
