[sdiy] Lecture on BBDs & chorus & vibrato effects...

Me too! I've had a stash of V3207s (the Coolaudio clone) for a few years
just waiting for me to make something nice, so this gave me a good nudge
- I'd never really thought much about switched-capacitor filters (though
had considered tracking filters)

Interesting note on the MW thread -
https://modwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=259670

"BBDs are not as "dirty" as people generally think. There are ways to
make them sound vastly cleaner. Current-sink load on the output, and
very sharp switched capacitor input/output filters (synced to sample
clock), along with careful pre/de-emphasis can produce shockingly good
results. Companders just unnecessarily mess up the signal. Current sink
load reduces both distortion and noise quite significantly. Clock noise
is still a significant contributor in most designs, even if not
perceived as a "whine" or tone."

The current-sink load mention seems interesting, something to
investigate, though I'm somewhat unsure how best to implement - the MXR
Carbon Copy (later version with Reticons) may give a clue though:
