My recollection was that EM replaced Polyphony, because my subscription to Polyphony magazine was fulfilled with EM issues after Polyphony ended. However, looking at my "first" EM issue, the editorial opening says that it's the first issue since EM was purchased by Mix. So, it seems that I missed the issues of EM that were simultaneous with Polyphony.
