[sdiy] Electrosmith Eurorack DSP platform

There's a very active Electrosmith community already, as there is with Teensy as well, though Teensy has a broader based section of user-applications even though the guy running it is keen on audio.

I think the plan is to create a development community around this where the effort between developing (or downloading) custom firmware and actually using it in your modular is very low. A bit like a bigger Disting with more knobs and I/O, albeit without a screen. $199 is cheap even for a Eurorack module, why not have one?
I tried to do this with a 5U Arduino back in the day, and SnazzyFX tried to do this with the Euroduino. Remains to be seen whether having a proper chip behind there drives adoption.
As a software hack who periodically dabbles in hardware, I'm curious...

I really wanted to have fun learning something with it but it sits on my desk blinking it’s hello world blink. This new Daisy looks even cooler as there should be lots of support to run the STM32 - another wannado for me. I wanted to get the right STM platform to run Audioweaver but I also had laptops too old to run it so things stalled. I suspect though I need to return to the Seed and get competent with it before spending more money on toys. It sure helps if you have classmates or friends that share your interest in these things. My son gave me a Teenage Engineering pocket operator thing and I could not figure the thing out. Don’t know how anyone on their own could. More dedication than I have! Has to be word of mouth for learning these things. The Seed is similar. Need handholding to get anywhere with it. The support videos progress very fast - have to slow them down to 50% speed to try and follow them. So yes you can do great things with these things but you have to know/learn how.
