Fair enough.  I can't even imagine how to design a PCB in Excel though.

Exactly.  So you know how long it now takes me to get a board?  About an hour.  Two hours later, it's stuffed and ready to use.

Also, if you have never laid out a circuit in Excel, don't knock it.  It has many subtle advantages.

Or if you really want to reduce the total time from concept to selling, you can learn EasyEDA in about the same, maybe less, and that automatically transfers both the Gerbers, Pick&Place and BOM up to JLCPCB and you get a fully loaded board back in 8 days, cutting out all the hassle of preparing BOM and Pick&Place for places like Seeed which always seem to want odd data formats and argue about specs on even basic parts like resistors.
