What I can tell you is you can order pure indium inexpensively from
China, and I can tell you where if you want to. Maybe they have solder
balls (I don't know) or full solder paste. If you get solder balls,
you need to add tacky flux, and then you have solder paste.
Experiences: goes gooey real quick, the bond was good (and I was
soldering to the underside of an aluminium heatsink). I wouldn't put
it under mechanical stress, but I haven't really done rigorous tests.
