Hi,
Thanks for the input. It's for an end user/customer to install in a vintage synth. So, drilling one round hole is the ideal solution, hopefully substantially less than $16 USD which is what the Grayhill 4PST is going for these days. Plus I hate soldering those little Grayhill bastards. I don't know how you panel guys do all the switch/pot wiring you do. ;-)

To the OP: did you consider using a 4T slide switch? There are plenty of miniature and subminiature versions available, both SP and DP.
Something like this:
This one needs a panel cut-out of apprx 17x3 mm.
Granted, not as exciting as an eeprom, but does the job!
