To the OP: did you consider using a 4T slide switch? There are plenty of 
miniature and subminiature versions available, both SP and DP.

Something like this:

1 Pole 4 Way Slide Switch

This one needs a panel cut-out of apprx 17x3 mm.

Granted, not as exciting as an eeprom, but does the job!
