Nothing wrong with a modular polysynth, it's the huge amount of analogue circuitry and wires that's the problem.     Going digital solves that problem

Those are cool patches.

I remember when some people told me that modular polysynths are a terrible idea and no one should build them because no one needs a polysynth to be modular.
