Don't be so sure about Buchla ordering anything high-tech. I can't tell
about other products, but for example Music Easel contains the cheapest
unbranded junk potentiometers you can find. Hopefully they have changed
it in later models, but it was a big surprise for me and a legend go
down the toilet when I serviced one. Wouldn't surprise me if the PCBs
were made in cheapest China fab too.
As for pro-grade PCB fabs, there are a lot of them in China too. I
regularly get spam from them, and just by reading their technical
capabilities they make JLC look silly.
