If you want to (re-)create yer classic CA3080-style OTA you'll need bipolar transistors.
I wonder if you can mix bipolar and MOS on the same die? If you can, then you could implement the analogue end of an EDP Wasp in a single chip. DCO and envelopes are LM3900 (bipolar), VCF is CD4069UBE (there's your MOS) and CA3080 (bipolar) and obviously VCA is CA3080.
