I pursued electronics in spite of an attempt in my youth to make that
thing useful. I don't know if I made some mistake or the synth was just
horrible, but it was an off-putting experience. My second failure was a
Radio Shack Shortwave Radio kit

third attempt at building something and my self esteem was eventually
restored. I don't remember the 3rd kit, only the mental anguish from the
first two.
