The wheels really fell off the wagon of this thread.
If you are building a Jupiter-8 duplicate, lots of the
work is already done.
Power supply:
https://synthronics.de/roland-jupiter-8-new-psu/
(switch mode but seriously who cares? It is ready now)
Interface board:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/265677117968?hash=item3ddb971a10:g:LjEAAOSwQjthN61e
(a little bird on my shoulder tells me this vendor has another board ready)
What is the only thing that can be massively improved on the
Jupiter-8, 4, 6?
ie) work is already done that does not need to be done again
Lastly:
- In my humble opinion, the only thing one could do that would
make everyone, universally, erupt with enthusiasm is to make
a Jupiter clone with absurdly long sliders. 15cm throw would be amazing!
So long that each of the 128/256 bits can be easily selected.
Who wouldn't love this???
