Sorry, but did they always clock on the correct edge?

Such a lot of stories about them clocking on the wrong edge, so I've
forgotten if you ever mentioned what happens on the other edge. :-)

Anyway, annoying dilemma. My bet is on spurious oscillations in the
comparator.
