Speaking of these things... a bit off-topic perhaps, but:

TI is interesting, since they make so many useful IC types at such a decent
price.
You could practically make a whole modern synth with only TI parts and
passives. (I'm sure their ICs could be used as passives if mistreated well
enough) :-)
