Not exaclty "directly" but indeed from their warehouses all around the 
world, wherever they have a factory or... a warehouse...
Orders are combined from various warehouses then shipped to you. Usually 
I get all TI boxes from their office in Germany.

I think maybe most of them if not all. Microchip, Analog Devices, Maxim 
(now part of Analog Devices anyway), who needs anything else :)
The passives are different thing unfortunately
