Don't forget that damn "better" copper they're using these days. Because of the reduced "impurities" the wires to the pots have to be at least half a meter long now to get "that sound".

Word. And of course that wasn't a big problem until they removed the lead from solder. Without the positrons moving in the opposite direction around corners everything sounds like crap. Not that anyone with a $2495 limited "Jobs Edition" iPhone Ω-L7 will ever notice over Bluetooth. Even with the 3.5mm phone jack on my iPhone 5s it's hard to make out any difference.

Next thing you know they'll ban the mercury in Fiberglas® PC boards. 8/
