I've seen them in older movement sensor designs, but I thought the amplifier was now integrated into the sensor itself.

I've never seen the LM13700 in anything except music/audio - where are they all going??
never found one in random e-waste scavageing, i have a lifetime supply, but that's more a reflection on my age...
