[sdiy] Battery power for eurorack

I've seen people use batteries to power small modular synths.

Several years ago I've ran a small synth with 10 low current analog 
modules plus an analog keyboard interface directly from two 12 volt 
DeWalt cordless drill battery packs one each for the V+ and V- rails. 
After playing on it for a few hours the V+ battery was at about 80% 
charge and the V- battery was still at full charge. This was an NiMH 
battery pack. I forget what the mAH rating was..
