The problem with that is if they worked with a manufacturer and established a look, that look gets copied which reduces the return for the manufacturer and makes the designer's stuff less desirable so they can't charge their normal prices for exclusivity.  Nothing to do with synths but look up the partnership between top designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and H&M which a lot of people have commented on negatively.

Perhaps an example of someone with more dollars than sense. These guys obviously have an eye for design. It would be interesting if they would partner with a synth manufacturer to make unique looking original synth designs in a more affordable, mass manufactured way.
