[sdiy] Fwd: Minimoog Research Seminar Announcement

The seminar was a status update on the research EMEAPP has conducted toward
"figuring out" the mini. Specifically, the "what" and "how" of circuit
topology, and its influence to the overall sound. They've created a
faithful circuit diagram in LTSPICE, and used it to generate some audio and
video illustrating real world behaviors.

They have published 7 reports on the topic (you may need to register to see
these):

https://emeapp.org/differential_amp_modeling/
https://emeapp.org/distortion-characteristics-of-the-minimoog-vca/
https://emeapp.org/analysis-of-the-vcf-regeneration-amplifier/
https://emeapp.org/minimoog-signal-amplitude-reduction-study/
https://emeapp.org/effect-of-capacitive-filtering-on-sawtooth-waveforms/
https://emeapp.org/intermodulation-distortion-of-sawtooth-waves-by-the-minimoog-vca/

With several more in the pipeline (analysis of oscillators, envelope
generators, overall history, etc).

I really enjoyed hearing stories and shop-talk from former Moog employees
Tom Rhea and Jim Scott.

Tom Rhea also has a book coming -- Electronic Perspectives
<https://www.google.com/books/edition/Electronic_Perspectives/HmiVzQEACAAJ?hl=en&kptab=overview>
-- which looks interesting and worth keeping an eye out for.
