Some earlier posts warn about buying 'BRAND NEW' DS1225 or M48Z18
non-volatile SRAM because of their date code not being any reliable
and the fact the inner battery starts to discharge at the IC
manufacturing time.. So a dated 2011 SRAM IC would already have
10 years of battery degradation.
Well looking at the M48Z18-100PCI datasheets nothing denies this affirmation.
But in the DS1225AB datasheets there is an important note that says:
So if understand well here a brand new DS1225AB-70IND+ could be a good choice over the M48Z18-100PCI.
The battery life should start ONLY when I first apply external Vcc to the device.. ?
