Hi Shawn,

I'll keep this quick and to the point. I have used a simple web based

I've heard about the online EasyEDA tool which has switched its simulation
engine from ngspice to LTspice. I guess it offers a different UI to LTspice.

As for audio, both LTspice and ngspice can take in audio, process it, and
then generate audio output (LTspice does it directly in the tool, while
ngspice needs a bit of help from data converters).

There are now quite a few "free" spice tools:
Ltspice
Tina-ti
ngspice
Super spice
Microcap
Qucs
Macspice
Xyce

(Note that some are not as free as others: EULAs, abandonware, etc.)

I find the trouble with all these tools is that once you progress past the
basic RC filter and onto real circuits you've invested significant time and
effort in learning the UI, learning how to drive the tool and its quirks,
and built up a custom library. All of which makes jumping to another tool
much harder! So choose carefully which bed you jump into....

Cheers,
Neil
