I saw the effect it has on mere mortals on last week’s Top Gear show, thank you. Your people seem to have a knack for strange smells. :-)

I had two Rifa caps explode in my home office this year. Within a couple of weeks. One in an old Philips frequency counter (in the Shaffner AC entry filter), and the other on board a pcb of an eprom eraser. Couldn’t get the stink out of my nose for weeks.
