Honestly, it's been so long since I had it out of the case that I really
don't remember, but I seem to recall that it didn't do much of anything.
Some panel lights came on, I think, and it might have made some sort of
ungodly noise.  I came to the conclusion that it was pretty fried, but I
didn't have the time or energy to deal with it at the time (I think I was at
peak pancreas-self-destruction around then) and I have simply never gotten
back to it.

It could be something as trivial as a dead battery.
