When this valued list started it was a general taboo to attach a mail signature longer than 4 lines of text, back then.
This definitely has changed. As much as fewer and fewer people know what’s Netiquette. 
I’m surprised to read about this 1MB limit. 
I consider this large and archives will grow much faster.
