Another pair of memories from my youth. 

1) Removing the erase head on my cassette deck and putting a record head in its place. Adding crude speed control to the motor, and having a lo-fi tape echo.
2) Getting the Radio Shack Analog Delay kit up and running.Turning the trimpots and listening to the clock signal fade out. When ow-bit samplers first became obtainable, this old project set my expectations for the limits of quality.
