[sdiy] Yamaha CS-60 issues

Yamaha have made a maintenance nightmare for their synths by their widespread use of proprietary chips.
I was recently helping someone in Spain who was developing a replacement for the YM617 for a CS-40m. The YM617 is pretty much a multiplexer-plus-some-bits. But getting the timing right to work in all the different ways Yamaha used it is not at all simple. In the end, we were able to get it working in most situations, and that allowed us to move the remaining working genuine chips to the critical locations where our slightly imperfect clone wouldn’t do the job.
