Thank You for your nice comment.
About the daisy chaining of both.. I will when my next project (962 Sequential switch clone) is done.
But so far here is what I’ve done:
The first sequencer does a sequence I continually modify while
It is running BUT I keep the first stage active while I add or remove others.
The first stage output is routed to the second sequencer’s SHIFT input
Thus advancing it every time the first seq goes to its first stage.
Doing so I hear a varying melody (seq#1) accompanied with
A running bass note (seq#2 ) once every start of melody.
Both melody and bass line are generated using different VCO’s and filter settings.
The seq#1 melody’s number of active stages is varied along its playing.
Funny results..

Wow! This is amazing! Such dedication and perseverance. So are you daisy chaining them for 16 steps?

Looks great! Probably feels different from the Behringer clone :-)

Hi list,
After 4 months of hard work.. I built two Moog 960 sequencers clones.. Very Happy !!!
The original circuits have been thoroughly and carefully reproduced
using shift registers software implementation (Microchip PIC) and new 74HCxx logic gates
to replace the original RTL logic ICs.
A BIG Thank You again to Dave Brown and Scott Loiselle who kindly assisted me along all
my demands and technical questions.
An 'in deep' analysis was made of the original schematic's RTL ICs behaviours.
LTSpice simulation software showed all the 'hidden' aspects of the inner waveforms.
As usual this is one more 'open source' project I want to share with anybody.
