Hi Pete,
I can assure you I am not a "jerk", and the analogy is a bit far-flung
since I have zero interest in profiting off anything. I am here to disprove
all the sabre rattling over how impractical this project must be. To quote
a user
<https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=125405&hilit=%7BB%7D&start=100#p3354160>in
the earlier MW thread:
Such an interesting conundrum. All the people that want it can't get it
because no one wants it. It can't be sold because it has no market value,
but it can't be given away because it costs $120K. It can't be digitized
because no one will do the work, and no one can do the work because no one
has permission, and no one has permission because no one will do the work.
Truly there never was a problem so unsolvable as digitizing print media.
Of course I will take down the material if Bernie asks, but then we all
must acknowledge that the issue is not that the work can't/won't be done,
but that he simply doesn't want it done. Which is his prerogative.
