Thanks everyone!
Has anyone seen this implemented in a digital FX unit?
Here <https://www.fullbucket.de/music/freqshifter.html>is a vst I'm looking
forward to trying out.
Richie, I agree, the terminology confused me. I might have preferred to
call it a frequenc*ies* shifter. Well, that's +1 for skipping english and
going straight to the maths. Yesterday I started trying to re-learn my
highschool pre-calc, so Dave's original explanation, which I see now tells
the entire story, is starting to look a little more penetrable.
