For a sequence of VCA CV or VCF Cutoff offset CV or similar, having LED
intensities show the full range of CV values is probably a useful
indication.

On pitch CV sequences on the other hand, it could end up rather
uninformative as melodies (or even octave bass) are often in a very small
part of the full range. An "auto-ranging" feature would then be useful,
setting the brightest & darkest LED intensities to match the highest &
lowest CV values of the current sequence at the current time. Haven't heard
of this solution before though, is it used somewhere? :-)
