[sdiy] CS-80 Ring Modulator

Can anyone recommend a source of information about the CS-80 Ring Modulator?

 

The thing I'm most curious about is, what actually happens when the ring
modulator is gradually engaged, either manually or using the AD controls?
Specifically, how does one get just a little bit of ring modulation?  Is it
all just crossfading between dry and ring-modulated outputs?
