ARP seemed to be stuck in discrete land (and TOS systems) for a long
time with their circuit designs.  They were very late in the change of
that paradigm by the time they designed the Chroma.

Heck, they were still using 128bit PROMs (not *KB*) in their 16 voice
pianos into 1981!
