[sdiy] History of SDIY?

While I agree with Paula to some degree, I also agree that having a history
of SDIY somewhere could be cool!
I think R&D for products does not qualify, nor do theremin kits if you
don't consider them strictly synthesizers. So Paia and paperface Serge come
to mind. Oakley, Yusynth, MFOS, Electronotes, Haible, CGS, Thomas Henry
should be mentioned and interviewed when possible, maybe put in a timeline.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of people!
Bridechamber, Synthcube, Elby and Thonk should be mentioned as vendors who
fueled the beginning of the Kit era.... Befaco, Erica, Music Thing,
Ferquency Central , Non Linear CIrcuits are companies dedicated to the
cause. etc.....
