I had two switches, one for each channel, so that I could cut in and out during recording (jammin'!). I could also swear that I added a third switch, though I can't remember what it was for. It was an exciting day when someone loaned me the service manual for the machine.

That  A-2300 is far at the back of a basement closet (next to the A-2340). This machine took a hard fall during a move in 2000--it fell right on the dummy plug for the remote. Not too surprisingly, it hasn't worked since.
