[sdiy] Mail formats

I agree with Neil, several posts have arrived that are so horribly jumbled they
aren't readable so I just delete them.  This forum has always been text based and
by far, the vast majority of information is simple text.  HTML doesn't enhance
content, only the way it "looks" in some insignificant way.  There are rarely ever
embedded binaries and even if there were, we have access to free posting web sites
if we don't have a site of our own - so any binary stuff can be put on a web page
and a URL posted in the text email.  I really don't understand why HTML is
necessary at all.
