Maybe, but in some parts of Canada it's a moderately controlled substance
(by provincial law, you have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter instead
of it being stocked on the regular shelf) because of concern alcoholics
will try to drink it as a substitute for ethanol.  There can also be some
transportation-related issues; my last purchase of a gallon jug arrived
with an impressive pile of "hazardous goods transportation" documents,
apparently because of fire hazard.
