Yep, this is the best listserve ever. The oldest message in my archive is from February 1997, just after I got dial-up Internet for the first time. At its peak this list had over 50 messages a day! And we talked about everything technical because of the huge braintrust involved. I remember getting advice on fixing a toilet once. This list saved me a lot of time and trouble with plumbing.

Way back when conversations about things like that went on for days and no one complained because it was the coolest place to hang out. Semi-OT post don't bother me a bit. I miss those days.
Here's my rant: I don't do FB. I hate FB. I only lurk to see what some friends are up to.
