[sdiy] Audio Codec Question

Back in the days when I was dealing with audio codecs, every one had
actually DC input, and low-cut filter was only one of the options in
configuration bits, so you could enable it or disable whenever needed.
I have looked into new parts, but assuming S-D converters have improved
a lot, I can't see why they should block DC.

How about still using your beloved AKM codec for AC signals, and only
adding second ADC in parallel just for measuring DC? There are nice
24-bit converters optimized just for that. With sample rate at several
hundred Hz process low end only from this DC-measuring ADC.
A bit of signal processing and it should be easy to combine DC/low part
with rest of the band from AKM.

Are you sure DC-block in 5720 cannot be turned off by some config?
